How participants opt in to text messages

FestRunner sends operational text messages only to festival participants who explicitly opt in. Consent is collected on the festival organizer's online application / intake form: when a participant signs up (as a vendor, artist, volunteer, or staff member), they see and check the SMS consent box below before they can be texted. Numbers added by other means are never messaged until the person has confirmed consent.

How consent starts and ends

• Opt in: check the box above on the festival's intake form (the box is optional and starts unchecked, so opting in is a deliberate action). Numbers gathered another way receive a one-time confirmation text and must reply YES before any operational messages are sent.
• Opt out: reply STOP to any message at any time. Reply HELP for assistance.
• Non-sharing: mobile numbers and SMS consent are never sold or shared with third parties for their marketing.
